Unintentional consequences
The Patriot Act is once again at the center of attention. It is destroying trade and competition. If we don't trade how are we going to make the world a better place? Competition is one of the cornerstone of a free-trade market. Bush will forever hunt the American economy.

Surveillance
This morning before school I was watching Zack Snyder's Watchmen. The tag line of the movie reads, "Who will watch The Watchmen?" Not directly comparing the Bush Adminstration to superheroes of alternate universe, but who watches the President? Movies such as, All The Kings Men, Frost/Nixon, and All The Presidents Men ask this same question? Who keeps a President in check during a time of war. Constitutionally the Commander-in-Cheif has unlimited power during a time of war. Referring to the Watchmen is it plausible to think that our own government would attack us or allow someone to attack us to perpetuate a power they have never legally had such as wiretapping? If one President had done it before why wouldn't another President do it? Through out Bush's eight years in office five of them we were at war and three of them he was on vacation like Dr. Manhattan of The Watchmen. Dr. Manhattan was on vacation because he was trying to figure out why he should fight for a humanity he was no longer part of. Who knows why George Bush would want to be elected President and then go on vacation? Like The Watchmen nobody watched him or kept him in line. He only answered to himself and no one else.

Gratitude
One thing that I am thankful for on November 24, 2011 is that the country is headed in a different direction. We are no longer following a leader who believes that a war will raise America's status back to greatness. Instead we are being led by an optimistic and open President. George W. Bush was never an open President in my opinion. Whenever he was confronted by the media about questions he should have had the answer to he became tone deaf and always tried to Red Herr people. I am sure everyone has seen his eight minute stare he displayed when he heard America was under attack in a Florida elementary school. If not you should really YouTube it or watch Fahrenheit 9/11. Barack Obama gives me that feeling that I have a voice in my future. His town hall discussions and YouTube sessions are vital to my belief in what he stands for. George Bush spent to much time behind closed doors wire tapping people, shooting his vice President in the head and calling it an accident, and on the farm. He never made me think my democratic views were important. So I am thankful that he is no longer in office and never will be again.

The Blame Game
The problem with the scapegoat defense is that at some point somebody has to be held accountable. When George Bush first came into office the national debt
stood at $5.727 trillion. On September 29, 2008 it stood at
more than $9.849 trillion.
That's a 71.9 percent increase on Mr. Bush's watchand
It's the biggest increase under any president in U.S history.. The debt ceiling was raised seven times during his administration. Why won't congress allow President Obama to raise the debt ceiling seven times? Who is the scapegoat for America's national debt: Bush or Obama? Who takes accountability for putting the U.S. in its worse crisis in recent years? I know that it was Bush leadership that put us into three wars at one time, caused electoral problems like never before, who did little to respond to potential natural disasters, and left the American citizens hanging in limbo. On August 2, President Obama signed the Budget Control Act of 2011. This not only averted a financial crisis, but it also plans to slow the growth rate of the national debt by forming bipartisan committees. He signed this into law while we were still at war; why couldn't President Bush do this? I believe he was to concerned about pleasing donors(oil lobbyist) and the 1%. Did Bush presidency inevitably cause these Occupy Movements? Has Obama fell into the same seat that Richard Nixon fell into when he took office after Lyndon B. Johnson? Although Obama will not commit crimes such as Watergate he was handed a war by his previous President and the American people look to him to end the war. This has made him the scapegoat. But he is not the one we need to blame. It is the 42nd President George W. Bush.

Relevancy
By the end of George Bush's presidency he had done much. He successfully worked with congress to pass major legislation which would protect the U.S.A. These included:
1. The USA Patriot Act 2. The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act 3. The Protect America Act and 4. Modernization of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.These legislation's had more than twenty federal agencies merge together to create the Department of Homeland Security. There was also some tax and education reform. These were all relevant to ensure the trust of the citizens who put him into office. What about the vacations he took for no purposeful meaning other than leisure time? Or the commanding of troops to invade Afghanistan and Iraq, and build a new country with his ideals? George Bush is a known criminal. Criminals are for the most part inherently narcissistic. They are also manipulative. Did Bush manipulate his constituents into believing that we needed to go to war with countries in the Middle East? Where his attempts to reform education selling points to convince the people who put him in office to trust him in a time of uncertainty? When the National Bureau of Economic Research officially declared that U.S. economy was in a recession in 2007 Bush had no response except that he was leaving office and it is no longer his responsibility. When it was time for war he was eager, but when it came time to do what he was meant to do, which was lead the economy into the 21st century, he completed abandon the citizens. Sounds like a true president. Why is this discussion relevant? Knowing who you decide to put in office will be a major indicator of your families and the economies future.

Origins!
James Hutton's Uniformitarianism concept states that, the present is the key to the past. In retrospect my blogs may seem hateful towards George Bush. This is however not the case. I just dislike his terms as president. He has forever put a damper on my generations and my kids. The recession that he caused with his personal vendetta has been felted around the world. So to understand why James Hutton's Uniformitarianism applies here I reexamined exactly when the recession began. People want to bash Presdient Obama because he can not solve the problems of the recession, which was 8 years in the making.
That means President Barack Obama will almost certainly go before voters next November seeking a second term with the highest unemployment of any sitting president since World War II.
The job market turned consistently negative in February 2008. The nation lost jobs for 25 months in a row - almost 8.8 million of them in all. Since then, the economy has only recovered 2.3 million jobs. The unemployment rate has hovered around 9 percent for more than two years, and the Federal Reserve said this week that it will is not expected to fall significantly through the end of next year.Instead of blaming Obama people should do their research to understand how and why we arrived at this Great Recession. Maybe then this blog will seem more meaningful instead of a Bush Era product with a personal vendetta who wants to destroy the former president.

Repercussions
On "Glee" last night Sue Sylvester said something very important: "The Clinton years are over. We are in a recession." Bill Clinton must have had a good presidency. Although it was clouded by a sex scandal citizens still look to him for leadership years after he was president. I have never heard anyone refer to George Bush for leadership or guidance during hard times. I realize there is a reason for that. He brought on hard time during his presidency and he did not make them better before he left office. Instead they were passed on to his predecessor, Barack Obama. Now Obama seems like a unworthy president today when in reality what he is doing for the country is a lot more realistic and personal than what George Bush did for the country. Now the question is: Since George Bush got re-elected after a voting scandal will Obama get the same re-election treatment although he has not been involved in any scandal(Especially one that involves his siblings or family members)?

Ulterior Motives
It all began with wiretappings and then there was Guantanomo Bay. Bush tried to give the U.S. ominus responsibility of HIS War on Terror. Where was the terror really at though? Was it in the middle east or was it in his famous practical joke? The joke that he allowed to happend so terror could be spread and HE could justifiably respond to. I think Bush could be compared to the J. Edgar Hoover of my time. He was in a position of power that he abused for years and always tried to justify it to the citizens of the U.S.A. So after years of a war that I believe he helped start and not acehiving one of his supposed main goals what was really his motive for going to war and ignoring terrorist threats?

Practical Jokes?
In James Cameron's Avatat Grace and Jake Sully have a short and insightful conversation:
They bulldozed the sacred site on purpose to trigger a response.- Grace
Just fabricating this war together what they want.- Grace
When people are sitting on shit that you want you make them your enemy;then you're justified in taking it.- Jake Sully. Did Bush really allow the 9/11 attacks to happen so that he would be justified in retaliating? He had just recently purchased new oil pipelines and they were of coursed being threatened by Al-Qadea. The 9/11 Commission Report declared that both Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush were "not well served" by the FBI and CIA. Bill Clinton decided that it was not the best time to bring up the issue of the threat as he was leaving office. However, Bush would still learn bout it and would ignore warning signs. From the 9/11 commission report pg. 6 "During the spring and summer of 2001, U.S. intelligence agencies received a stream of warnings about an attack al Qaeda planned, as one report puts it "something very, very, very big." Director of Central Intelligence George Tenet told us "the system was blinking red." Was this real an attack or a truly infamous practical joke? OPINIONS!!!

Commitments
When Bush started the War on Iraq one of his "main objectives" was to capture Osama bin Laden. Instead after 8 years all he accomplished was the capture of Saddam Hussein and an attempt to build a new country and install a new government. In less than four years Barack Obama had gathered intelligence that led to the death of Osama bin Laden, Muhammad Gaddafi, and Ayman al-Zawahiri. All of these men had ties to terrorist networks and bin Laden was the mastermind of Bush's defining presidential event: The 9/11 attacks. Another one of his "main objectives" was to rid Iraq of weapons of mass destruction. What did he do once he found out there were none in the first place? He turned to the kids. The No Child Left Behind Act was a red-herring tactic to make people forget that he had just lied to the citizens who put him in office. So much for a man of high intelligence who graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Should we use his education as a red-herring tactic or tell it like is?

Expectations
When Bush decided to work on his fathers campaign did he or his father think what kind of legacy they would leave at the White House? If so they must not be real proud of their legacy. The father did not get reelected for a second term and the son caused 9/11. Just like the Deep Horizon oil spill somebody has to take blame for the catastrophic event which could have been prevented.

An Inconvenient Reality
In 2001 when George Bush first took the U.S.A and the rest of the world was at peace. Banks were not filing bankruptcy(true irony), technology was still moving fast as ever, oil productiona nd consumption was not an issue, and no one was speaking of a stimulus which could save the economy. Then again in 2004 when the citizens of the U.S. we're fed up with the president who held the highest approval rating in history ever he was right back in office. Til this day I do not know anyone who approved of the methods and leadership since Bush became president. Who exactly did they poll to get this historic approval ratings? I think the government just tricked some people into believing his approval rating to keep him in office and do what America was built on. Overrun another government and start your own country. I am happy to be a free citizens, but the same people that America are at war with use to be us. Terrorists or freedom fighters who are trying to claim their peace of the world and do not want outside influence. So to help them fulfill their ideal the Bush administration allowed them to attack us on 9/11, so we would be justified in retaliating and ultimately establishing a new country.

Definitions
Would you like to know why the Bush administration was filled with so much controversy? Although George Bush attended an Ivy League school like many other presidents he was not much of a critical thinker, nor was he good at reasoning. What did enhanced interrogation techniques really mean? It gave U.S. officers the right to legally torture detainees who may or may not have known about terrorist actitivites. Bush may have been president at the time, but why did he think he alone had the power to defy the Geneva Conventions? The Geneva Convention laws had been in effect for almost 140 years and were abided by many countries. He used his position of power to put America into a war with no clear purpose and he is somewhat responsible for the 9/11 attacks. It is public record that the Bush family has ties to the bin Laden family and that they have interest in the middle east to protect. This is one of the main reasons HE went to war. Bush and vice president Dick Cheney had secured a pipeline to be build that would draw natural gas from different regions in the middle east and they wanted to protect these assets. After the longest war in U.S. history we have not found any weapons of mass destruction which was our original intent. So you have to ask yourself, if pipelines have been in the middle east years before George Bush and there are no weapons of mass destruction why are we still in the middle east after ten years?

Phrases and Rhymes
Undoubtedly 9/11 was the worst attack on American soil in the history of the U.S.A, but why did George Bush think that was the best time to pass a bill called the Patriot Act? He stole the idea from Johnny Cochran. When Johnny Cochran was defending O.J. Simpson in the trial of his life not only did he put on a great show he gave the jurors what they wanted to hear: a phrase that was thought provoking. "If the glove don't fit, you must acquit". From then on O.J. was never going to be found guilty. Anyone in Congress who would not vote for a bill called the Patriot Act would be labeled the most unpatriotic person in America. So out of fear and the need to conform it was passed. This gave birth to Guantanamo Bay, wiretaps, and other government sanctioned ideas to protect the U.S.A. At the end of the day you have to ask yourself this question though: Were the unintended consequences of the Patriot Act better or worse for the economy? http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/2008/03/15/unintended-consequences.html

Rhetorical perspectives
Bush originally was not suppose to be president but because one entity said he was everyone else followed suite. No network was brave enough to stand alone and stick to there initial findings that siad Al Gore was the pressident. Where would the world be today if Al Gore had been president? Would it be better than it was 9 years ago? No one could have predicted the events of 9/11, but maybe if a Bush had not been in office it would have never happend? Thoughts!!!! The bush administration has to be brought up on war crimes, as well as crimes against humanity at the home front
Let's do something about itAny proposals?

Bush Administration
How and why does our generation have to suffer for one man's inadequacy to be President? My generation and the coming generations will forever feel the effect of the Bush Administration. He may not have been apart of Watergate, the American Revolution, or The New Deal but his presidency was the biggest practical joke of the last six decades.
