Commitments
When Bush started the War on Iraq one of his "main objectives" was to capture Osama bin Laden. Instead after 8 years all he accomplished was the capture of Saddam Hussein and an attempt to build a new country and install a new government. In less than four years Barack Obama had gathered intelligence that led to the death of Osama bin Laden, Muhammad Gaddafi, and Ayman al-Zawahiri. All of these men had ties to terrorist networks and bin Laden was the mastermind of Bush's defining presidential event: The 9/11 attacks. Another one of his "main objectives" was to rid Iraq of weapons of mass destruction. What did he do once he found out there were none in the first place? He turned to the kids. The No Child Left Behind Act was a red-herring tactic to make people forget that he had just lied to the citizens who put him in office. So much for a man of high intelligence who graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Should we use his education as a red-herring tactic or tell it like is?
